Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This policy explains what information Alnitech (“I”, “me”), based in Hamilton, Ontario, collects through this website and what happens to it. I handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What I collect

What you send me. If you use the contact form, I receive your first and last name, email address, the subject and your message, and the page you sent it from. If you email me directly, I receive whatever you write.

What your browser sends. Like any website, this one receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request when you visit. This is handled by the hosting service described below, which keeps it in security and performance logs.

I do not ask for anything else, there are no accounts or logins, and I do not sell personal information.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and it does not show a cookie notice. Two services may store small amounts of data in your browser so the site works safely: Cloudflare, which hosts the website and may set security cookies to protect it against abuse, and Cloudflare Turnstile, the spam check on the contact form, which may use browser storage to tell people apart from automated programs.

Why I use it

  • To reply to your message and discuss your project.
  • To keep the website secure and working, and to stop spam and abuse.

I do not use your details for marketing or send newsletters unless you ask me to.

Who handles it

  • Cloudflare hosts the website, runs the spam check and keeps request logs.
  • Resend delivers contact form messages to my inbox.
  • My email provider stores the messages I receive.

These services may process information outside Canada, including in the United States, under their own privacy terms. I share your information with no one else unless the law requires it.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry messages for as long as it takes to answer them and for up to two years afterwards, unless you become a client, in which case I keep what is needed to provide the service and meet my legal obligations. Hosting logs are kept by Cloudflare under its own retention rules.

Your choices

You may ask to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, by writing to the address below. I will reply within 30 days. If you are unhappy with my answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page.
